Natalie Leclerc is a third-year doctoral student in the Political Science department at the University of Chicago. Their research focuses on political violence in the U.S. with specific attention to police militarization and gender-based violence. Their current project examines the effect of policy interventions on police accountability, looking at the bureaucratic decision-making processes of Internal Affairs divisions when assessing formal allegations of police sexual misconduct. Natalie has previous experience in criminal justice policy advocacy in Northern California at the city, county, and state level. They hold a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
